150th birth anniversary celebrated | Swami Vivekananda

"Vivekananda became the bridge between East and West after he gave his famous speech during the World Religion Congress in Chicago, USA in 1893," Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Jayanta Prasad, said.

"Vivekananda worked for the poor and downtrodden people and fought against untouchability as well as helped to empower women," he pointed out.

"Vivekananda taught us to control the mind which he described as a drunk scorpion consumed by a demon," Prasad said.  More New
